Another anonymous submission to our Endo Awareness Month giveaway.  If you’d like to voice what you’d tell Endo if you had the chance, and let us know!

"I would first start by politely offering my time. Saying how I would like to get together and talk about issues and complications Endometriosis was causing me.

Upon arrival we would start with a drink - I’d have something easy going that wouldn’t trigger any of the symptoms of issues Endometriosis causes. (Don’t give her beer or cider, she’ll bloat and punch you in the stomach. She gets very aggressive upon being fed it.)

I’d start by asking why? Why she chose me to bully and ruin my life? I really want to know why me!

After we’d flow into why she choose to use the methods she does to hurt me and control me and ruin my life.

If her answers were not good enough I think I’d start to get angry, upset and most likely aggressive back.

By the end of the evening and the end of our discussion I’d take Endometriosis for a looong drive. I’d push her out of the car and scream from the top of my lungs. I wouldn’t get physical with her because I know just how much pain she inflicts on me and this wasn’t about inflicting pain back. This was about finding answers and meeting my life ruined Endometriosis. I’d hope that by Endometriosis answering these questions I’d be able to help others. I’d be able to spread awareness. But most of all I’d have a reason as to why."

I would question it's motives and the potential outcomes. Ask why?

I would talk about how thankful I am for making me the strong person I am. How, at times I felt like things were so unbearable I made it another day anyway. Even though I've always hated the fact that this uncurable diaesae has taken over my body in so many ways, it's also made me who I am. It's helped me overcome fear, learn emotions can be controlled, and that true love can with stand anything. Stage 4 endometriosis is know joke, the pain is real, the growth is rapid, and moodswings are many time vial. I mostly importantly want endometriosis to know your not gonna win. Not physically, not emotionally, not ever. I will keep fighting! Thank you for the life lessons you've helped me learn!

Endometriosis, I’ve been wanting to have a chat with you (I lean in with glass in hand). You’re lucky we are here, in this restaurant of ‘class’, where you are safe to wreak havoc on 176 million uteruses. Where you have been able to hide and lie about who you are, how you are, and why you do what you do....because if this restaurant begins to gain followers and it’s popularity grows, you’re not going to be able to hide no more! Get the smug painful look off your face. I ought to...(I sit back, look away. Head now down).

I would first try to have a civil conversation about how unfair they are and to treat others how you want to be treated, because Karma is a bitch! If that didn't work I would beat them up.

I would sit mizz endo down and explain to her that she took away the best years of my young life and missing out on my children growing up...ruined a perfectly good life I had going...I was devastated to know that I never really got rid of you...regardless of being used as a guinea pig for years after a hysterectomy...only wishing someone would listen to me and try understand the pain and desperation...that endo has caused!! It has changed me dramatically and the effects are painful reminders of this heartless lady killer!

I would ask why...I would offer it things to make it stop. Then a nice, strong punch in the face! Or five.

"I would order Endo the meal of all meals, the most delicious and tempting array of food and drink you could ever imagine, with an aroma so overwhelming your mouth waters! Then just as Endo was lifting her first bite to her mouth, so ready to enjoy all the flavours and textures that will fill her with satisfaction, I would snatch her fork away, look her right in the eye and make her watch me eat that irresistible food. I'd make her watch me eat every single bite from that plate, the whole time the smell wafting to her nose, letting her know what she's missing out on. Every now and then I might let her have a tiny nibble, just enough that she really knows what she's missing out on. I might invite some friends to join me so she can watch us delight in the joys of this magical meal, we would tease her relentlessly, offering up servings then just as she starts to believe it was all a bad joke and we will now let her eat, we will snatch it away again laughing harder then ever!

Because that is what endo has done to my life, I sit and watch my hopes and dreams pass me by while I sit in pain."
