I’d ask it to stop and if it can’t, I’d ask how to cure it. I’d then take endo on a world education tour whilst it tells everyone all about it and how to stop the pain.

I would ask the kitchen and wait staff to prep my dinner guest by tying it to a spit. Then, as wordlessly as it does, as slowly as it does, and with as much excruciating pain as it inflicts on me and my Sisters, I would proceed to eat it alive.

If endometriosis was a living, breathing person, at dinner I would ask why it felt the need to take joy and hope out of lives. And I would ask them how it would make them feel if the had a porcupine it their abdomen.

"I’d ask one question. Just one.

“Why are you such a pain in the arse .... like literally, Dude?”"

I would ask it why do you have to keep on coming back and why do you have to be such a pain and hurt the ones that I Love? What can I do to help you go away and stay away?

I have come to a point in my journey/life where endo is just an old friend. I know this resolution isn't easy for everyone, but that is how I see my endo. In my mind she has always been there. And unless a cure is found in my lifetime, she always will be. We've had 14 years to get to know one another. Admittedly she knows me 10x better than I understand her. If I could talk to this disease as a person I would love to know how she thrives year after year. Disease process fascinates me and I wish we could understand endo better. Maybe if we could talk to endo like an old friend she'd help us understand her. And maybe she'd give us the secret to a cure.
