An anonymous submission to our Endo Awareness Month giveaway.  If you’d like to voice what you’d tell Endo if you had the chance, let us know!

I would sit mizz endo down and explain to her that she took away the best years of my young life and missing out on my children growing up...ruined a perfectly good life I had going...I was devastated to know that I never really got rid of you...regardless of being used as a guinea pig for years after a hysterectomy...only wishing someone would listen to me and try understand the pain and desperation...that endo has caused!! It has changed me dramatically and the effects are painful reminders of this heartless lady killer!

I would ask why...I would offer it things to make it stop. Then a nice, strong punch in the face! Or five.

"I would order Endo the meal of all meals, the most delicious and tempting array of food and drink you could ever imagine, with an aroma so overwhelming your mouth waters! Then just as Endo was lifting her first bite to her mouth, so ready to enjoy all the flavours and textures that will fill her with satisfaction, I would snatch her fork away, look her right in the eye and make her watch me eat that irresistible food. I'd make her watch me eat every single bite from that plate, the whole time the smell wafting to her nose, letting her know what she's missing out on. Every now and then I might let her have a tiny nibble, just enough that she really knows what she's missing out on. I might invite some friends to join me so she can watch us delight in the joys of this magical meal, we would tease her relentlessly, offering up servings then just as she starts to believe it was all a bad joke and we will now let her eat, we will snatch it away again laughing harder then ever!

Because that is what endo has done to my life, I sit and watch my hopes and dreams pass me by while I sit in pain."

I’d ask it to stop and if it can’t, I’d ask how to cure it. I’d then take endo on a world education tour whilst it tells everyone all about it and how to stop the pain.

I would ask the kitchen and wait staff to prep my dinner guest by tying it to a spit. Then, as wordlessly as it does, as slowly as it does, and with as much excruciating pain as it inflicts on me and my Sisters, I would proceed to eat it alive.

If endometriosis was a living, breathing person, at dinner I would ask why it felt the need to take joy and hope out of lives. And I would ask them how it would make them feel if the had a porcupine it their abdomen.
