I’ll be rockin’ my Endo Tour shirt today! I need to order new ones with my most recent surgery.
It always amazes me to toss this thing on.
And it’s an amazing conversation starter!
I hope you all have a wonderful week!

As is my customary Friday morning tradition, I found myself back at my favorite bagel place for my breakfast and an almond milk hot chocolate. As I waited for my wares, I noticed a woman waiting in line eyeballing the front of my shirt.
If you haven’t seen the front, it’s a wonderful design, created by a friend, representing my insides after my Endo surgeries. Ha.
Once she paid for her bagels, she walked right up to me with a big smile.
“I was standing in line reading the back of your shirt,” she said. “So then I had to try to read the front of your shirt to see what it is.”
“Oh?” I prodded.
“You’ve had quite the ride,” she said, with a li’l bit of sadness in her voice.
“It sure has been.”
“I’m familiar with the disease…” she said, leaving it open-ended.
Familiar? Did she have it? Does her daughter??? She looked to be in her sixties. “Are you?” I prodded further. “Do you have it?”
“No,” she smiled, “but I’m an OB nurse.”
We talked for a little while longer while we both waited for our bagel sandwiches and beverages. She seemed surprised at how extensive it could be, how entwined it can get, and how often my surgeries were warranted. I let her know that my pain levels were in a good place since my last one. She placed a warm hand on my shoulder, “I hope it stays that way.” And we said our goodbyes.
Such a wonderful way to start a Friday. And now? On to today’s Feel Good Friday’s quote:
“Finding healthy coping mechanisms are as essential as breathing fresh air
Find what works for you.
Do it with zest and fervor
Unapologetically”
― Renee A. Lee
For me, striking up conversations, spreading awareness about Endo, and making connections is a huge part of my coping mechanism and self-administered therapy. That being said, I know it’s not for everyone. What helps you cope? Let me know in the comments below!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Endo & Liver Function: added a 2019 study of a 42-year-old woman who complained of right quadrant pain, vomiting, and nausea. Turns out she had the super-rare Endo on the liver!
Well, it’s finally happened!
We’ve released our Special Edition t-shirts and beach towels, sporting the design by Century House Art. You may remember our 2017 Coloring Contest and this was one of our entries.
Check out our Teespring store! 100% of the profits are sent to the Endometriosis Foundation of America.
There is no true deadline to order your t-shirt, tank top, or towel. Once the campaign ends, it will automatically renew. So, please don’t feel pressured to buy one now if you cannot afford it. They’ll be here waiting for you when you can.
A 30″x62″ cotton beach towel specifically in a bright Endo yellow. Wrap up in this plushy towel and proudly flaunt your Endo Awareness. The towel features the colorful design by Century House Art, the Bloomin’ Uterus logo, and our blog’s webpage. Each towel costs $30.99, and $10 of each sale will be donated directly to the Endometriosis Foundation of America via Teespring’s payout program.
My towel arrived! It’s massive! And oh-so-soft!
Each t-shirt shows Century House Art’s design on the front and our typical Bloomin’ Uterus logo and information on the back. You have your choice of style:
Gildan Women’s Relaxed Tee for $21.99 ($6.90 is donated to the EFA)
BELLA+CANVAS Unisex Tank for $21.00 ($4.91 is donated to the EFA)
BELLA+CANVAS Women’s Fitted Tank for $21.00 ($4.91 is donated to the EFA)
Women’s Premium Tee for $21.00 ($5.06 is donated to the EFA)
Hanes Tagless Tee (unisex) for $17.99 ($5.57 is donated to the EFA)
Please find the style and size options that work best for you. As, as always, if you’re unhappy with the print work (sometimes they’re wonky) or quality of the item when you receive it, please contact Teespring’s customer service. They will work with you to either reprint the product or issue you a refund.
And, as always, our usual line of Bloomin’ Uterus t-shirts, stickers, and mugs is always available for you to purchase as well. (And all profits are donated to the Endometriosis Foundation of America…always). Shop all of our products at our Teespring store
I’ve updated the Fundraiser page to include links to the Gofundme.com button campaign, as well as the Teespring t-shirts, mugs, and sticker sales!
Thanks to Teespring’s new Automatic Renewal feature, stickers, t-shirts, and mugs will always be available for purchase!
Check out our Teespring store! 100% of the profits are sent to the Endometriosis Foundation of America.
To anyone who has ordered a Bloomin’ Uterus t-shirt through our Teespring campaign and isn’t happy with the placement and/or quality of the print, please reach out to Teespring’s customer service.
I have attempted to have Teespring correct their screenprinting placement since the logo on the printed shirt is not where it is supposed to be compared to the design I submitted.
Here’s is their response,
“Thank you for keeping us in contact – I’m sorry to hear that there were issues with the orders from your campaign. Please allow me to assist you.
Regarding the order issues with your campaign, for any misprints, we ask that the person who placed the order contacts us with a photo of the order they received stating the issue of the item in the email. This way we can send the photo to our ProductionTeam for their reference, and proceed with the most suitable solution for the customer.
We ask them to directly contact us, as we can only discuss order information with the customer, and make sure that they are taken care of!
Again, I truly apologize for the inconvenience. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.”
If you would like to contact Teespring about replacing your t-shirt with an attempted reprint, you can submit an inquiry on their page.
It is helpful to attach a screenshot of the t-shirt design off of the webpage, a photograph of the t-shirt you received, and any written instructions to fix the problem (i.e., “lower the logo by about six inches.”) Granted, this doesn’t always work…but if you are unsatisfied with the t-shirt after a few attempts, they may offer to refund your money.
If you haven’t purchased a Bloomin’ Uterus t-shirt, tank top, or sweatshirt and would like to, visit our Teespring store
This year we’re releasing black Bloomin’ Uterus t-shirts. I received a lot of feedback that people wanted a darker color (to avoid stains and such), so here we go!
Once again, I’m working with teespring.com and they will donate 100% of the profits to the Endometriosis Foundation of America (which comes to about $5 from each sale). Instead of having a deadline, these shirts will always be available for purchase and will be printed and shipped directly to you.
There are several styles available to you this year:
Hanes Tagless Tee – $18.00
Women’s Premium Tee – $21.00
Women’s Tank Top – $22.00
Women’s V-Neck Tee – $21.00
Unisex Hoodie – $28.00
Long Sleeve Tee – $22.00
If you would like to place an order, please do so by clicking here, choosing your style(s), and size(s). Your purchase not only helps spread the word (I guarantee you will be stopped as asked what Endometriosis is) but helps fund the EFA’s efforts. And you get to wear a very stylish Bloomin’ Uterus *insert grin here*.
I cannot thank you enough for all of your support over the past few years. You’ve made this Journey so incredible.
Love, Lisa
A HUGE thank you to all of you who purchased a Bloomin’ Uterus t-shirt! We sold 13 shirts and raised $76.67 for the Endometriosis Foundation of America!! Woohoo!
I received my confirmation email this morning that Teespring has already sent the $76.67 to the EFA!
I cannot thank you enough for your support! Together, we are doing great things and hopefully one day a cure will be found. In the meantime, remain strong and positive!
Yours,
Lisa
Thanks to everyone who purchased a Bloomin’ Uterus t-shirt! As you know, all profits were donated to The Endometriosis Foundation of America. This year’s t-shirt campaign raised $43.35 for the EFA. Wear your shirts with pride!
It doesn’t sound like a lot of money, I know, but every little bit helps this great organization.
I don’t know who purchased a shirt (Teespring doesn’t tell me), but I want to thank each and every one of you. Missed your opportunity to get a shirt? They’ll go back on sale in February 2017…or if there’s enough outcry, we can open up another campaign (but we must sell a minimum of 5 shirts to print).
Thanks, guys! This is incredible.
Yours,
Lisa
The Bloomin’ Uterus Endometriosis Awareness & Support Walk is only six months away! Six months!
With that exciting realization, I followed up with the Endometriosis Foundation of America this morning to check on the progress of their 2014 financial audit. As you are likely aware, any funds I raise for the walk are donated directly to the Endometriosis Foundation of America. Gofundme, in partnership with Wepay, take their small percentage of each donation for a service fee, but the rest of the funds go to the EFA. I don’t see one cent. The same is true for any Bloomin’ Uterus t-shirt sales (these will go live again in late January 2016) – 100% of the profits are directly donated to the EFA. I, again, do not see one penny. I wanted to make sure that your (and my) donations actually went toward research, education, and awareness. Not my pocket. Not venue fees. Just exactly where it should be going: education and research.
