An anonymous submission to our Endo Awareness Month giveaway.  If you’d like to voice what you’d tell Endo if you had the chance, let us know!

I would ask her why she chose me. What do I have to keep her from being so angry when I do and sacrifice everything she doesn't like? Why does she have to make it difficult for me to have children when I'm ready? Then I would tell her, "You will not defeat me. You will not ruin my dreams of motherhood. You will not ruin me. I have you. You don't have me."

If endometriosis was a real person, I would take her out for dinner and ask her why she is so difficult to prove? Why do so may people dismiss her as unimportant? Why is she so routinely dismissed s a fantasist who exaggerates her symptoms? Why are women more likely than men to accuse her of lying? And what does she think can be done to change this situation so that her symptoms are considered as genuine and worth of concern?

I would take her to the cheapest but most popular restaurant locally. That way everyone that saw me and I knew them I could formally introduce this person that has ruined my whole adult life. I'm 29 with no job, no kids and no friends that I hang out with off FB. I could finally have a visual representation to show my friends and family that this is real and not just "girl problems."

I'd ask her why she is such a bitch!?! What is her purpose and what type of person gets pleasure out of others pain? Then I'd get all my endo sisters together and treat her how she has treated us.

Try to understand more about it and why it does what it does and how. (Keep your Enemy close situation) lol Tell it exactly how it has ruined my life in so many aspects not just one single area of life it has stopped me from years of life and living. Eventually figure out how to rid it of ourselves for good. I have many other situations I can think of but I still feel it needs to be understood and researched more thoroughly to help and rid it from the lives of so many women world wide being affected by it and so many of the "sister" diseases.

I would tell it that can’t stop me. I would discuss the days that I first realized that something was wrong. Doctors told me that periods hurt, and to get over it. What they didn’t know is that I was dealing with a monster. I would discuss how even though I have to miss several classes due to my pain, I still have made honors list at my university. I would discuss all the events that I have had to miss, and all of the days I spent in bed because walking was too much of a task. I would ask why it felt the need to possibly take my fertility. Growing up all I wanted to be was a mother, now I’m not sure if that will ever be able to naturally happen. I want to ask it why it makes me appear weak to people who have never had to experience it. I would ask it to leave me alone and let me live my life in peace.

I would take her to work to show my coworker that Endo is real.

I would want to pick it’s brain! From a science perspective I would want to know the genetic factors that drive the disease. From the human perspective I would want to know if there are any thinks that specifically flare the disease and when and how? Getting a better understanding of this horrible disease would allow me to help other endo warriors and future generations! I’d of coarse want to record everything to prove to legislators, researchers, and doctors!

I met you when I was 11, you evil black goo who kept me down and in constant pain. Tore apart relationships cuz people thought I was lying when I couldn't make events or do things. I didn't look sick so I couldn't be sick. Fast forward 40 years no kids couldn't have them, I am sick every day, nausea, etc...next month I go for a hysterectomy so now your taking my womanhood too. No guarantee it will get rid of you...as you have crept to other areas and it will require several surgeries to totally remove you from my ass, intestines and blaster you evil life sucking useless hateful fucking thing. I am lucky to have a wonderful husband to help me and that understands I pray it will be the end of you...I pray to finally rid myself of your evil deeds and destruction of my body and quality of life....when I was younger there was no support groups, it was a silent disease...unheard of....now we are speaking about you, spreading the word...you won't win...we know all about you...oh you will be terminated....you will...I hate you
