Karen

I had my first Lupron injection in Sep. 2013 for fibroid reduction. A few problems, nothing major. Second injection, Oct. 2013, caused immediate dizziness, anxiety, severe joint pain, fatigue, headaches, insomnia, mood swings, etc. I didn’t know what the heck was going on. I couldn’t walk, couldn’t drive, couldn’t work. I went on FMLA and short term disability leave for nearly four months. My doctor immediately discontinued further injections. I was also told the side effects would go away in a few weeks.

I had a partial hysterectomy in Dec. 2013.

Jump ahead to 2018: I still have the same side effects, and more. Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2015, multiple digestive disorders 2016 to now, Major Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Migraines, bursitis, IBS, hypertension, and much more. I gained 35 pounds. Had dozens of doctor and specialist visits since 2014. I currently take seven medications.

Prior to taking Lupron, I NEVER had these medical problems. As a matter of fact, The only time I needed to go to the doctor in 2012 and early 2013, was for colds and minor health issues.

I lost my long term job in January 2017. Tried to work with two other companies in 2017. Was terminated from both jobs within two months.

My adult children has had to take over my finances. I’ve moved from Michigan to Alabama and currently living with my daughter, son in law and grandchildren.

I went from a top performer in the workplace, to and unproductive, emotional employee in a matter of a couple years.

I’ve applied for SSDI. Still awaiting an answer on my initial application.

I feel worse now than ever. I didn’t sign up for this. I wish I could go back five years and change my decision to take Lupron. That drug changed my life, for the worse.
